The Check-6 Pilot for a Day Program
The Check-6 Foundation supports the children and families that have been selected for the Pilot for a Day Program that is conducted at Joint Base Andrews.
Twice a year, a child is selected by the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC and is invited to become a “pilot” for a day. The event itself is comprised of a day full of activities revolving around the child’s dream and interest in aviation.
The foundation’s goal is to present each Pilot for a Day child with a Check-6 experience of a lifetime! This is not only for the day, but the child and family are "WINGMEN FOR LIFE!". The event may include:
Personalized
Flight Suit
Flight Simulation
Tour of a KC-135 Stratotanker
Tour of a F-16 Viper
Visit to a Air Traffic Control Tower
Lunch aboard a C-40
